This is a brand new 500ft spool of military mil-spec tinned hook-up wire from Berkshire Cable Co. This cable was designed with military vehicle and aerospace applications in mind, where high voltage and temperature ratings are of extreme importance. It is high quality mil-spec wire that is perfect for multiple applications.
The overall gauge of this wire is 26 AWG. It consists of 7 separately tinned solid copper strands (34 AWG each).
Hook up wire is used in a variety of general-purpose electrical applications. Stranded copper wire provides good electrical connectivity while PVC insulation protects the wire against abrasion, chemicals, oils, and solvents. The wire conforms to UL and MIL-spec specifications, and provides excellent uniformity for easy processing, stripping, and terminating.
